Jira, Blog-type project management tool

 

I used Jira about 10 years ago without any thought, even I did not know the name of this service. Then I joined Global e-commerce project in 2014, and I looked what project status/knowledge management tools were fitting into this project. And there were many candidates, but most engineers preferred to use Jira, so I started investigating Jia and met the member of Atlassian agency.

 

Finally, Jira was selected for Global e-commerce project, and I liked to use Jira, but it gave me huge burden to me and my team in order to look and update random requests from global +30 offices.

 

Jira is good at project status/tracking management tool, but it needed to put the project knowledge management tool. So it was natural choice to introduce Confluence from same solution provider, Atlassian, because it can manage the cross-over usage based on integration Jira and Confluence. I've preferred to access Confluence every day, but I think that it is not arranged by certain rule set, so it causes little time-consuming search in order to get right information.

 

I think that DevOps is current trendy word, but Atlassian has good insight about it, and prepared DevOps solution tool, BitBucket under integration other software too. However, I am really confusing to remember the name of DevOps tools, BitBucket vs. GitHub.

 

 

I think that Jira is so easy to learn how to use because of the blog-type, but it needs to get some assist from Atlassian or sub-contractors to build the layout design.
